The AX338 is the predecessor to the AXMC in .338 Lapua Magnum, built on the original AX chassis without multi-caliber conversion capability. It replaced the AWSM in front-line British service and saw extensive combat use in Afghanistan by British and allied snipers. The fixed-barrel design provides exceptional accuracy, and the folding stock folds to reduce transport length. Many examples are now transitioning from military service to law enforcement.
