The Beretta Model 1951 is a post-WWII locked-breech service pistol that replaced the single-action pre-war designs. It was issued to the Italian military and exported to Egypt and Israel, where it was designated the Helwan. The 1951 uses an all-aluminum frame, an unusual choice for the era, and a single-action trigger. It is the direct ancestor of the 92 series in its operating principle.
