The Bren gun was the standard British and Commonwealth light machine gun of WWII, derived from the Czech ZB vz. 26 and manufactured at Enfield (hence Bren — BRno + ENfield). Fed from a 30-round curved top-mounted magazine, it equipped British Commonwealth infantry squads as the primary section automatic weapon. Highly accurate for an LMG, it was also used as an anti-aircraft weapon and in vehicle mounts. Over 200,000 were produced.
