The Canik Rival-S is the steel-frame version of the Rival, using a heavier stainless steel frame to reduce felt recoil during high-round-count competition strings. The increased mass of the steel frame dampens muzzle rise compared to the polymer Rival. Otherwise mechanically identical to the standard Rival with the same Dawson Precision sights and match barrel.
