The Colt Mustang is a scaled-down single-action 1911-style pistol chambered in .380 ACP, developed as a compact carry alternative to the Government Model. Shorter and lighter than the PPK/S it competed with, the Mustang offered the familiar 1911 single-action operation in a genuinely pocketable package. The Pocketlite variant added an aluminum frame for further weight reduction. Production ended in 1997; Colt reintroduced it in 2011.
