An improved version of the CZ 24, simplified for mass production. When Germany occupied Czechoslovakia in 1939, the Wehrmacht continued CZ 27 production for German forces as the "Pistole 27(t)" — making it one of the most produced WWII German-issue pistols despite being a Czech design. Over 500,000 were produced during the occupation. Post-war production continued for Czech police.
