The Dreyse M1913 was a larger-framed pistol chambered in a proprietary 9mm Dreyse cartridge (not interchangeable with 9mm Parabellum) intended to compete for military contracts. It was a more ambitious design than the M1907 pocket pistol, targeting the military service pistol market that the Luger dominated. Limited production and the outbreak of WWI ended its commercial prospects.
