The PA-63 was the standard Hungarian military and police sidearm, externally resembling the Walther PP but chambered in 9x18mm Makarov per Warsaw Pact requirements. An aluminum-frame blowback design, it is lighter than most comparable pistols but produces sharper recoil as a result of the lighter frame. Widely imported to the US market as military surplus.
