The L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle is the British and Commonwealth semi-automatic-only version of the FN FAL, manufactured in the UK and issued to British, Australian, Canadian, and New Zealand forces from 1954 through the 1980s. The L1A1 differs from the metric FAL in using inch-pattern measurements and a semi-auto-only trigger group. It served from Korea through the Falklands.
