The HK94 was the civilian semi-automatic rifle version of the MP5 imported to the US from 1983 to 1989. Featuring a 16.14-inch barrel to comply with NFA regulations and a thumbhole stock, it was the primary civilian MP5 variant before the SP5. Pre-ban examples with original HK furniture are highly collectible and are the foundation of many MP5 clone builds.
