The MP5/10 is a scaled variant of the MP5 chambered for 10mm Auto, developed at the request of the FBI following the 1986 Miami shootout. The 10mm cartridge required redesigning the bolt and receiver to handle the higher pressures of the Norma-spec 10mm. The FBI ultimately adopted the 10mm in the MP5/10 to maximize penetration and terminal performance. Discontinued after the FBI transitioned to .40 S&W and 9mm.
