The P8 is the Bundeswehr (German Army) designation for a variant of the USP 9mm adopted as the standard German military sidearm in 1994, replacing the aging Walther P1. It features an ambidextrous decocking button and enhanced corrosion resistance. The P8 was produced in large numbers and served as Germany's standard military pistol until well into the 2010s.
