The HK SL8-6 is the US civilian-legal export version of the HK G36 assault rifle. Imported with a thumbhole stock, no pistol grip, and a 20-inch barrel to comply with import restrictions, the SL8 uses G36 internals including the G36's famous dual optic — a 1x red dot and 3x scope combination — in a fixed stock. The 10-round magazine and thumbhole stock made it compliant; most owners converted them toward G36 configuration post-AWB.
