Four-barrel Vierling (Vierling = "quadruplet") — two shotgun barrels over two rifle barrels, or three shotgun barrels over one rifle barrel. The most mechanically complex sporting firearm ever produced in quantity. Heym's 37 was one of the few post-war Vierlings in regular production. Regulation of four barrels to a single point of aim is an extraordinary gunsmithing achievement.
