The Ithaca NID (New Ithaca Double) replaced the Flues model in 1925 and remained in production until Ithaca's bankruptcy in 2005. The NID's redesigned lockwork was an improvement over the Flues in trigger pull consistency and ease of manufacture. The 28-inch 12-gauge field configuration was the most common. NID guns in Grade 1 through Grade 7 were produced; high grades are extremely scarce and valuable.
