The Lange Pistole 08 (LP08), known as the Artillery Luger, was a long-barreled variant of the P08 issued to German artillery crews, stormtroopers, and machine gun crews during WWI as a compact firearm with extended range. The 8-inch barrel was paired with a tangent rear sight graduated to 800 meters and a detachable shoulder stock. The 32-round snail drum magazine (Trommelmagazin) could be fitted to extend capacity in close assault.
