The PAMAS G1 is a licensed French production variant of the Beretta 92F, manufactured at Saint-Etienne for the French military to replace the aging MAC 50. It is mechanically identical to the Beretta 92F/FS but marked with French military acceptance stamps and manufactured in France. Adopted as the standard French Army sidearm in 1990.
