The PWS MK116 in 14.5-inch pinned and welded configuration is the patrol carbine variant of PWS's flagship long-stroke piston AR. The 14.5-inch barrel is permanently affixed to a PWS FSC556 compensator to achieve legal overall length. The long-stroke piston system provides reliable operation at the 14.5-inch barrel length where DI gas timing requires careful tuning. Used by some law enforcement agencies as a primary patrol carbine.
