The Ruger Speed-Six is the compact variant of the Security-Six family, with a 2.75-inch barrel, round butt, and fixed sights. Intended as a plainclothes and backup revolver for law enforcement, it was also marketed to civilians for concealed carry. The round butt and shorter barrel make it significantly more concealable than the 4-inch Security-Six while retaining the same .357 Magnum capability.
