The P250 in .40 S&W extends the modular DAO platform to the .40 Smith & Wesson cartridge. Like the 9mm variant, the .40 P250 uses a serialized FCU that can transfer between grip modules. A small number of law enforcement agencies adopted the P250 in .40 S&W before the P320 superseded it. Primarily found on the used market, it represents an interesting but ultimately limited iteration in SIG's modular development.
