The Star Model BM was a compact, lightened version of the Model B, adopted by the Spanish Army in 1972 as a more modern service pistol. An aluminum-framed variant of the BM (the BKM) was also produced. The BM saw service with the Spanish military and was exported widely, appearing in large numbers in the US surplus market in the 1990s through importers like Interarms. It is a reliable, accurate single-action pistol with a good trigger.
