The TT-33 was the primary Soviet service pistol of World War II, designed by Fedor Tokarev at the Tula Arms Plant. Chambered in the high-velocity 7.62x25mm cartridge, it offered excellent penetration against early body armor and heavy clothing. Simple, powerful, and widely copied, the design was manufactured by China, Yugoslavia, Poland, Hungary, and Romania among others.
