The Uberti 1873 Sporting Rifle is an Italian-made reproduction of the Winchester Model 1873 — the gun that was marketed as The Gun That Won The West. Chambered in .44-40 Winchester Center Fire, the original cartridge of the 1873, the Uberti reproduction is mechanically faithful to the original design with a 24.25-inch octagonal barrel, crescent buttplate, and case-hardened receiver. The .44-40 cartridge allows shooters to use the same ammunition in both the 1873 rifle and period-correct single-action revolvers.
