The Walther Olympia was developed for the 1936 Berlin Olympics and won the gold medal in the 50-meter free pistol event. Chambered in .22 LR with a fixed barrel for maximum accuracy, it set the standard for Olympic-level target pistols. Post-war versions were produced for competitive shooting.
