John Browning's first design sold to Winchester, and his first commercially successful firearm. A falling-block single-shot offered in two receiver heights — "High Wall" for large rifle cartridges, "Low Wall" for rimfire and smaller centerfires. The strongest single-shot action of its era, used for long-range target shooting in Schuetzen competitions. Browning later recalled the sale of this design as his career-defining moment.
