The only belted magnum in .22 caliber, introduced by Roy Weatherby in 1963 to push the .22-250 Remington's velocity ceiling. Drives 55-grain bullets past 3,850 fps, significantly faster than the .22-250 but requiring the larger Weatherby Mark V action and the proprietary head diameter that comes with it. SAAMI-standardized and still factory-loaded by Weatherby.
