Size vs familiar rounds

Drawn at true 1:1 — every case is accurate relative to the others. Absolute size depends on your screen's pixel density, so measuring one against a real ruler may be off. 6.8 TVC is highlighted below.

History

Developed under the U.S. Army's Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program, where True Velocity's composite-cased 6.8mm fed the RM277 rifle alongside LMT and General Dynamics. The NGSW contract went to SIG Sauer's hybrid-cased 6.8x51mm (.277 Fury) in 2022, but True Velocity carried the 6.8 TVC into the commercial market as the first SAAMI-accepted composite-cased round, with conversion uppers and rifles from makers including LMT, Beretta, and Daniel Defense. Its external envelope shares the .308 Winchester head and overall length.
