History: Invented by Louis-Nicolas Flobert around 1845, the 6mm Flobert is one of the earliest self-contained metallic cartridges. It uses only the priming compound as propellant — no powder charge — giving it very low velocity suitable for indoor shooting galleries. It remains in production by European manufacturers including Dynamit Nobel and Fiocchi.
