Designed by firearms writer P.O. Sharpe and G.H. Hart in 1953 and factory-loaded by Norma for the Danish Schultz & Larsen rifle. Delivered true magnum 7mm velocities — 160-grain bullets at approximately 3,100 fps — in a belted rimless case nearly a decade before the 7mm Remington Magnum arrived in 1962. When Remington standardized their version with better domestic factory rifle support, the S&H's commercial window closed almost immediately.
