Harrington & Richardson

Overview

American manufacturer founded by Gilbert Harrington and William Richardson in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1871. H&R produced reliable, affordable single-shot rifles, shotguns, and revolvers for over a century, serving the working-class American shooter. The H&R Topper single-shot shotgun was one of the most widely owned firearms in rural America. H&R ceased operations in 1986, was reorganized, acquired New England Firearms in 1991, and finally shut down under Freedom Group in 2015.
