Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB was the firearms division of the Swedish Husqvarna company, with firearm production dating to 1689. Husqvarna produced Swedish military Mauser rifles (M96, M38) under license and also made commercial sporting rifles on Mauser actions. Swedish Mauser rifles manufactured by Husqvarna are among the most collectible WWII-era military bolt-actions due to their superb metallurgy and fit. Husqvarna ended firearms production in 1970 when the division was spun off; the parent company now makes power tools and outdoor equipment.
