Lorcin Engineering Company was an American manufacturer of low-cost semi-automatic pistols founded in 1989 in Mira Loma, California. Lorcin was one of the "Ring of Fire" companies — a group of Southern California firearms manufacturers that produced inexpensive handguns that dominated the lower end of the US market in the early 1990s. Lorcin was briefly the largest-selling handgun manufacturer in the United States by unit volume in 1993-1994. Their L-series pistols in .25 ACP, .32 ACP, .380 ACP, and 9mm were notorious for inconsistent quality. The company went bankrupt in 1999 following multiple product liability lawsuits.
