Olympic Arms was an American AR-15 manufacturer founded in 1975 in Olympia, Washington as Safari Arms / Schuetzen Pistol Works. One of the earliest independent AR-15 manufacturers after Colt's patents expired, Olympic Arms produced a wide range of AR-15 pattern rifles and pistols including early small-caliber variants (.223 Wylde, .45 ACP, 9mm carbines) and the first commercially produced AR pistols. Known for the K8 series lightweight rifles and the OA-93/OA-96 pistols. The company closed in 2017 after the death of founder Robert Schuetz.
