Quality Hardware & Machine Company was an American industrial manufacturer that produced M1 Carbines under WWII government contract. Between 1942 and 1944, Quality Hardware produced approximately 359,666 M1 Carbines. Quality Hardware carbines are identified by the "QHM" cartouche and are considered to be of uniformly good quality. The company dissolved after WWII.
