Overview

Shiloh Rifle Manufacturing Company (Big Timber, Montana, est. 1983) produces the most respected modern reproductions of the original Sharps falling-block rifles. The 19th-century Sharps was the dominant single-shot rifle of the Civil War era and the weapon of the buffalo hunters who shaped the American West. Shiloh's Model 1874 reproductions are built with case-hardened receivers and high-quality American walnut stocks to period specifications. Distinct from the separate "Sharps Rifle Company" of Glenrock, Wyoming. The original Sharps Rifle Manufacturing Company (1848–1881) was the historic entity whose designs both modern companies reproduce.
