Developed in 1922 as a semi-rimmed 8mm cartridge for German break-open double rifles and combination guns that require a rim for reliable headspacing. The 8x75RS offers more powder capacity than the 8x57mm IS and is still CIP-standardized, produced by RWS and used in high-grade German double rifles.
