History: Sako developed the 9.3x66mm in 2003 to provide hunters with 9.3mm performance in the shorter Sako 85 action. It delivers ballistics comparable to the 9.3x62mm Mauser from a shorter, lighter rifle. CIP-standardized and chambered exclusively in Sako rifles, it has found a following among Finnish and Scandinavian hunters who pursue moose and bear.
