Stevens Arms

Overview

J. Stevens Arms was founded in 1864 in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts by Joshua Stevens. The company became one of the most prolific American firearms manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, producing single-shot pistols, .22 rifles, and a vast range of shotguns. Stevens merged with Savage Arms in 1920 and the Stevens name has been used as a budget sub-brand of Savage ever since. The Stevens Model 311 side-by-side and Model 520/620 pump shotguns were widely used by US military and police in both World Wars. The brand remains active today on entry-level Savage shotguns.
