Taurus developed this combination cartridge chamber for the Judge revolver in the mid-2000s. By making the chambers long enough for .410 bore shotshells while also accepting standard .45 Colt ammunition, Taurus created a unique multi-purpose revolver. Smith & Wesson later created the Governor for similar cartridge combinations.
