History: Developed for the Winchester Model 1886, the .50-110 represented the top of Winchester's black powder big-bore lineup. With 110 grains of black powder behind a 300-grain bullet it was capable of taking any North American game and was used for grizzly bear, moose, and bison by hunters who preferred the lever-action repeater to a single-shot Sharps.
