Colt Model 1851 Navy 36 Caliber

The Colt Model 1851 Navy was the most popular Colt percussion revolver, produced from 1850 to 1873 with over 215,000 made. Chambered in .36 caliber percussion, it was carried by both Union and Confederate officers in the Civil War and by frontiersmen through the early West. Slim, well-balanced, and accurate for its era, it was also produced under license in England. Wyatt Earp, Wild Bill Hickok, and Robert E. Lee all carried versions.
