The G3 (Gewehr 3) was the standard Bundeswehr rifle from 1959 to 1997, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. Uses a roller-delayed blowback system developed from WWII German designs. One of the most widely licensed military rifles, produced in over 40 countries.
