Steyr SSG 69 Walnut .308 Win
The original SSG 69 configuration features a walnut thumbhole stock with integrated cheekpiece and swivel stud positions optimized for prone shooting. The walnut thumbhole stock was a distinctive design choice at a time when most military rifles used conventional pistol-grip stocks. The cold hammer-forged barrel and Steyr's precisely machined action made this one of the most accurate production rifles of its era.
