Various US MK 12 SPR 5.56x45mm 18-inch
The MK 12 Special Purpose Rifle is a designated marksman rifle built on an M16 lower with an 18-inch free-floated SPR barrel, PRI or KAC rail system, and Leupold Mk 4 2.5-8x scope. Developed by Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, it extends effective range beyond standard M16/M4 while retaining the 5.56 caliber. Used extensively by SEAL Team and Army Ranger units for precision fire beyond 500 meters.
