Overview

British gunmaker founded in Dublin in 1775, maker of the .416 Rigby and .450 Nitro Express cartridges — both significant in African dangerous game hunting. Rigby rifles were the standard for dangerous game hunting in Africa and India for over a century. Churchill, Hemingway, and numerous maharajas were clients. Currently owned by a private group since 2012, operating from London and producing bespoke and catalog bolt-action and double rifles.
