Norinco

Overview

Chinese state-owned arms manufacturer and one of the largest firearms producers in the world by unit volume. Norinco rifles (SKS, AK-pattern) and pistols were widely imported to the US through the late 1980s and early 1990s and are common in the American milsurp market. Import to the US was banned by executive order in 1993. Still highly relevant for historical, milsurp, and field guide context.
