History: Introduced in 1982 alongside the .356 Winchester for the Model 94 Big Bore. The semi-rimmed design provides reliable lever-action feed and extraction while delivering .308-class ballistics previously unavailable in a lever rifle. Factory ammunition is still produced by Winchester. The Model 94 Big Bore is discontinued but used rifles and factory ammo remain available.
