Dragunov Design Bureau SVDM 7.62x54R 21.7-inch
The SVDM is the modernized SVD Dragunov, featuring an updated folding polymer stock, Picatinny rail replacing the original SVD optics mount, and night vision compatibility. The 21.7-inch barrel is slightly shorter than the original SVD's 24.5-inch but the folding stock reduces overall length significantly for vehicle and airborne operations. It has been fielded to Russian Army units replacing original SVD rifles.
