Mauser Karabiner 98b 8x57mm 23.6-inch
The Karabiner 98b was a post-WWI designation for full-length Gew 98 rifles retained by the German Reichswehr under Versailles treaty limitations. Paradoxically called a carbine despite having a full-length barrel, the b designation masked the violation of Versailles restrictions.
