Mauser Model 71 11mm
The Mauser Model 1871 was the first Mauser bolt-action rifle adopted by any military and the weapon that launched the Mauser dynasty. A single-shot design chambered in 11mm black powder, it was adopted by the German Empire following the Franco-Prussian War. It established Paul Mauser's reputation and led directly to all subsequent Mauser military designs. It was also sold to numerous other nations and manufactured under license.
